GTM Utility Platform Privacy Policy

What is gtmutility.com

GTM Utility is a helper tool for Google Tag Manager (GTM). Its primary use is to visualize existing GTM setups in the form of a flowchart. GTM Utility serves as a reference tool for providing an alternative overview of connections between variables, triggers, and tags in GTM containers. Access to these containers must be obtained independently by the user.

Authentication and Authorized Data Access

Users authenticate with a third-party provider such as Google. Upon authentication, the application may:

  1. Associate the user with personal information on Google.
  2. Access personal information the user has made publicly available.
  3. View the user’s email address.

Email addresses and credentials are encrypted and stored in the application’s database within Google’s infrastructure. They may be used to restrict or block service access in case of a breach of the Terms of Use. Credentials can be deleted upon request.

GTM Utility uses API scopes in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy. The application can access sensitive GTM data, but cannot modify or delete it.

You can remove access to your account at any time via the app’s “Withdraw” option or directly in your Google account:

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is used on gtmutility.com to collect information about user interactions, including returning visits, location, device data, and engagement signals. This data helps improve the tool, identify errors, and enhance the user experience.
We do not share collected data with third-party organizations or individuals.

Google Analytics Automations on monday.com - App Privacy Policy

This section describes the privacy practices specific to the Google Analytics Automations app (“the App”), developed by GTM Utility for the monday.com marketplace.

The App enables monday.com users to create automations that send annotations and events to Google Analytics properties.

1. Data We Collect and Use

1.1 Authentication Data

  • Users must sign in with a Google account holding Editor access in the GA property.
  • During sign-in, an access token is obtained from Google.
  • Tokens are stored in monday.com Secure Storage and used only for automations.
  • Tokens are never logged, manually accessed, or shared. Expired tokens are deleted automatically.

1.2 Board and User Data

  • The App accesses monday.com board data (e.g., status changes, column values) to trigger annotations and events.
  • User profile data may be used to identify token owners and automation creators.

1.3 Templates

  • Event and annotation templates are stored in monday.com storage.
  • Templates may contain fixed values or references to board columns.

1.4 Subscription Data

  • An external database stores only the monday.com account ID for subscription management.

1.5 App Installation and Usage Data

  • We may collect installation and usage data (e.g., which accounts installed the App, activity metadata).
  • Used for operations, service monitoring, adoption tracking, and compliance.
  • May also be used for communications, such as product updates or marketing campaigns.

2. Data Retention

  • Templates Upon de-authorization, deactivation, uninstallation, or termination of an App by monday.com or an end-user, all End User Data will be permanently deleted within 10 days.
  • Google tokens and monday.com tokens are retained only while valid and necessary for automation. Invalid or expired tokens are deleted automatically.
  • App installation and usage data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the App and communication services, or until you opt out where applicable.
  • Data may also be deleted upon user request.

3. Data Sharing and Transfers

  • We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.
  • Data is transmitted only between monday.com, Google Analytics, and the App to fulfill requested automations.
  • Outside monday.com Secure Storage, only account IDs and installation/usage data may be stored externally.

4. Security

  • Tokens and templates are stored in monday.com Secure Storage.
  • Subscription account IDs are stored in an external database with restricted access.
  • Tokens are inaccessible beyond automation use and never logged.
  • Installation and usage data is stored securely and used only for operational/communication purposes.

5. User Responsibilities

  • monday.com account holders are responsible for board data, including client data.
  • By using the App, users confirm they have the right to process and connect this data to GA.

6. Children’s Privacy

This App is intended for business use only and is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU).

  • Data is processed to provide automation features and support operational needs.
  • No sensitive personal data is collected.
  • Legal bases include:
    • User consent (app installation, Google sign-in).
    • Contractual necessity (delivering the App).
    • Legitimate interest (improving services, operational communications).
  • Users may request deletion of subscription, usage data, or templates.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy as necessary. Updates will be posted on the monday.com marketplace listing or via release notes. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance.
